I've been kind of busy lately...
doing work for http://www.scarycanaryclothing.co.uk/ , buying a house, blogging about it. I really haven’t had much to update my website or my blog with - it’s all been slightly too personal work, or work that really isn’t relevant here.
I do have a couple (literally a couple, mind) of things to upload though!

welcome to the show
I was going to re-do my website with a bit of a showgirl/carnival theme and then… decided I needed something a bit simpler.
I am well into this still, so um… here it is.

All is quiet on the homefront at the minute,
but there are rumblings…
On the other hand, Harvester’s Christmas table looks a right treat.
That’s what I did yesterday… it was shockingly enjoyable. x

something different, again
If there’s one thing about my work, it’s full of variety. Three fashion illustrations for a competition that I wanted to enter, then realised that the deadline had already gone.
I did them anyway. xx x

illustration for a poster on Child Protection. There’s a colour version too, but this one is a bit nicer, I think x

The Big Itch
Here’s the (slightly shoddy) photos from opening night :)
This is mine.
This is mine too - I know illustrating an insect bite is a bit obvious for an exhibition called “The Big Itch” but seriously, this thing has driven me m a d and it’s all I can think of! I’ve got another one too, I need to have a word with the dog to tell him he should stop...
The Big Itch
This is slightly late, but my work’s up at The Big Itch exhibition which opens tomorrow evening at six. It’s at The Volte Gallery (lower train station in Wolverhampton) so turn up if you like :)
It’s on for a couple of weeks, I’ll try to steal a flyer tomorrow to show you, it’ll be easier than me prattling on about it here.

I’m playing with a lot of things that are entirely digital at the moment - I have a little Wacom tablet (it’s similar to the Bamboo) which I usually use to colour with, but I’ve been getting more and more into doing linework straight into Photoshop like you saw with the Please Wash Your Brushes poster.
I still like pens though, pens are nice.

Even the clock keeps ticking "daddy won't you...
Title unrelated. I’ve been listening a lot to some old-timey music, like things from the Bioshock soundtrack, and a random yet impressive collection of tracks that my father-in-law-ish transferred from record, to tape, to CD and now get played in the boyfriend’s car on road trips. He likes to do the Charleston whilst he’s driving which… is silly.

underboob
A cute, if slightly inappropriate ‘thank you’ note that I made for Nathan off of SMILE for writing me what I assume must have been a glowing reference as I got the job!
Is sending a nude pin-up girl to an ex classmate inappropriate? There’s definitely a bit of underboob going on there to say the least. Is that why he never phones or never writes? Find out all this and less...
