i heart joan: do not exceed 37°C xx

I’ve been drawing a lot lately, been doing a lot of projects… but all of them are so hush hush! So here’s a snipped from my sketchbook… for all the good it’ll do you. It’s in preparation for Inkygoodness 3: Wonderland which is at The Custard Factory in Birmingham this September. Come along, why don’t you? xx

things I’ve done this week:

looked after a small dog
looked after a tall boy
been climbing
regretted such an action (muscles, aaaah)
gotten soaked in the rain
watched hilarious cats

been for a meeting in Brum
ironed my special ‘job interview’ outfit

i heart joan: keep out of eyes

yesterday I went for a meeting in Brum, at Starbucks, which is one of my favourite places to do business… mainly because of these:

bit late this week, trouble uploading! on Tuesday I went back up to good old Brum for a little day trip, some vintage shopping and some climbing with Nathan off of SMILE and while I was shopping my socks off, I came across this little gem:

which is what I’ve been doing for this year’s Square Festival. Nice to see your own work in print and around and about the place.

leave me out of this

This week, I have:
  • trawled up and down the Black Country, looking for somewhere to get this printed for the boyfriend’s birthday
  • eaten an ungodly amount of pasta
  • seen Public Enemies at the cinema
  • watched Torchwood (oh yeah)
  • painted my nails this vile colour:

And I’m going out later, no plans as yet though. I’m sure I’ll make up my mind sooner or later, more blog posts on Monday in things I’ve drawn. Toodleoo! xxx x

this song is dreadful...

If you’ve read my tumblr before, you’ve probably seen most of these images, if not… then you’ll soon come to realise that I have an unhealthy obsession with ceramics, mostly teacups (tweecups). But sometimes other things… lots of nice patterns to gaze at here.

uh oh...

Oh shit! Where did everything go?
Well mainly I felt that my tumblr had no structure and looked a bit daft, so I nuked the lot in favour of a more structured, ordered approach. Not particularly sexy-sounding words, but there are going to be some very sexy blog posts hereafter.

I’m going to give this a little go, so that I’m going to have three blog posts per week… let’s see how long this lasts for, shall we?

monday is going to be “things I’ve drawn”
whether that’s previews, doodles, personal projects or great big fat commissions, you can see what I’ve been up to that week.

wednesday (that’s today baby) is going to be “things I like”
which will be full of things I’ve seen around and about the place that I’m inspired by, or just plain think is cool.

friday will be “things I’ve done”
which will be just stuff that’s happened in the week, on my travels.

There might be other posts every now and again, in between the big three, but let’s see how this works out in… five, four, three, two, one… GO! GO! GO! xxxxx x
